Make sure you see the actual machine you buy cut and inspect the cut quality. Be wary of PC based software controllers that can be purchased on the internet, they are a bad choice for this industry and is not on the same level as dedicated CNC controllers and is also vulnerable to virus and malware targeting the operating system. Our controllers except the Hypertherm controllers are totally immune against these threats. There are critical functions you need from a controller such as having the ability to reverse to the point where you lost a cut and proceed from there effortlessly. PC based software controllers from the internet can not do this and only have a facility called "RUN FROM HERE". When you are on a demo with one of these type of machines, ask the supplier to switch of the plasma while actively in a cut and if the machine can not just reverse to the lost cut point and restart the cut, don't even bother looking further at it. This is an ability that is essential to the process. Our controllers can also start cutting at the spot it was without moving the machine if you have a power cut, this is also a great feature that can save you time and money.
